Richard Phillips, author of the #1 best selling Amazon Kindle sci-fi adventure, The Second Ship, Book One of The Rho Agenda.
Hello all. As the author of the #1 best selling sci-fi adventure, The Second Ship, on the Amazon Kindle, I wanted to take a moment to thank my readers who have put this first novel in my Rho Agenda Series at or near the top of several sci-fi categories. By way of introduction, I am posting my biography below:
Born in Roswell, New Mexico in 1956, Richard Phillips graduated from West Point in 1979, trained as an Army Ranger and served for several years as an officer in the United States Army. In 1989, he graduated with a Master of Science degree in Physics from the Naval Post Graduate School, completing his thesis work at Los Alamos National Laboratory. He then spent three years as a Research Associate at the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory, before completing his tour of duty as an Army Officer. He has been married to his lovely wife, Carol, for twenty-seven years and they live happily together in Phoenix, Arizona.
Richard, I just wanted to tell you how much I enjoyed your talk at the Foothills Library this past Sat. It was inspiring to see first hand the degree of success a writer can have through e-publishing. It seems like the steps we have to take to get traditionally published barely gives us time to write. I’m going to give e-publishing (through Kindle) a try and see what happens.
Thanks for all your great information.
Diana,
Thank you for the kind words. Now that you’ve heard me speak, you can understand why I write. Nevertheless, I had a great deal of fun sharing my experiences with the group and I hope you all found some encouragement in the fact that it is possible to make your work available in an environment that allows people to find it. Best of luck to you going forward and I look forward to attending many other Arizona Authors events.
Best,
Richard
Richard,
Do you suggest having the entire book finished or can you do a few chapters at a time?
Hi Jacquie.
I believe you need to have the whole book finished and edited before you publish. Otherwise readers won’t be very patient and you’ll pile up the negative reviews and comments.
Best,
Richard
I have really enjoyed your writing especially as you kick aside traditional physics and experiment with the Ether theory and a non-expanding universe and other dimensions. I am an engineer and love the stories you have created. Now I want more.
John Akerman
Hi John. Glad you enjoyed me questioning parts of physics current theory treats as facts. It’s only a model. The map is not the territory.
Richard
I am currently reading worm hole. I have
read book 1 and book 2, and I must say
that this series of books are super to read.
Thank you for a great story.
Thanks Kevin.
Just finished Wormhole…can only say as you write, the books get better and better. Book 4 must be a real knockout! Thanks so much for the hours of entertainment!
Thanks Cathy. Glad you enjoyed them. Hopefully I have a few surprises in store for all of you in Once Dead.
Richard
