The Bizarre Year of 2020 December 3, 2020

On December 8th of this bizarre year, 2020, I release my fifteenth novel. In an oddly appropriate way, this last entry in my six book epic fantasy series, The Endarian Prophecy, is titled “Prophecy’s End”. With the advent of COVID-19 and the ensuing worldwide panic the pandemic has caused, it may seem like we are living in the prophesied END TIMES and that the four horsemen of the apocalypse are upon us. What are we to do?

I will not attempt to speak for you, but as for myself, I intend to keep on living my life, savoring every single day, however many or few they may be. I have Carol, my loving wife of thirty-nine years, who has traipsed around this world with me throughout my career in the U.S. army, by my side. We play golf, we dream our dreams of the future, and we enjoy each other, our family, and our friends. And I get to earn my living making up stories and telling them. Hopefully, they will provide some much needed escapism from the trauma so many of you are enduring.

Carol and I wish all of you a very happy and healthy new year in 2021.

Hi Scot. Thanks for being a loyal reader of my novels. As for what I am doing next, I am working on a follow-on to the Rho Agenda focused on Jack and Janet’s son, Rob. Here’s a rough draft of the opening lines:

“My name is Robert Brice Gregory and I can move things with my mind. Nothing big, like a sewing needle, mind you. But I have been known to put a ripple on a cup of hot coffee.

Now, I know that there are those who would say the disturbance was produced by a passing truck or train, but I’m pretty certain it was me. One thing I know for damned sure is that I can manipulate the flow of electrons through circuits that are within my telekinetic range. How far does my mind-reach extend, you might ask? The answer is, I don’ know. My range seems to be growing with practice. And since Earth is ruled by a machine intelligence that I really want to avoid, I get lots of practice.

Yes, when it comes to computers and other electronic equipment, I am a god… or at least a demigod. Otherwise, I’m just the semi-normal, twenty-year-old son of two ex-CIA assassins. Oh. One more thing. An alien AI named Eos shares my brain. Long story.”
